It’s December!

That means that NaNoWriMo is officially over!

(FYI: The reason for the watermark below is that I don’t actually own the image, so please don’t steal/take/borrow it. Plus Arrested Development is awesome.)

I WON!!!!!! 😀

That’s right folks, I officially wrote just a hint over 50,000 words of a novel in a month!

I just wanted to write a quick little something to both inform you, oh faithful reader, and say thanks. Thank you for putting up with my lacking posts, for dealing with my constant talk about NaNoWriMo, for all of my tweets with #NaNoWriMo (for those of you who follow me on Twitter, you know what I’m talking about, but for those of you who don’t, you totally should!), and for my coffee -filled, crazy-person, writing-obsessedness that you have bravely endured over the past month.

Now that a few days have passed, I’ve been able to awake from the writing-induced coma and get back in the kitchen! Keep on stopping by to see lots of treats for the holiday season! Or, better yet: subscribe, like my Facebook page, follow me on twitter, or all of the above!

NaNoWriMo Update

Howdy all! It’s the 10th of November (one of the last binary days for a good long time) and NaNoWriMo is in full swing!

I have been busy working on my novel, among other things, and haven’t really had much time to work on a new post so I figured why not combine the two!

That being said, here’s a slight update on how NaNoWriMo is going this year:

Par word count for the day (aka how many words one should have if one does the minimum words per day): 1,667

How many words I have so far: 20,431

How many words I would like by the end of the week: 22,000

Half-way through the novel point: 25,000

Major goal for the week: 25,000

Percentage of how much my cat has helped: 0%

Percentage of how much caffeine has helped: 93%

Percentage of made up percentages: 100%

View from my house the other night:

Percentage of how much I would like to take a nap: 82.5%

Hours sitting on campus today: Let’s see….7:45am-8:50pm, well, that’s over 12!

I guess that’s all I have to share today, I’ll post again as soon as I have something more interesting to write about!

Happy Halloween/November!

November has begun and this year I have decided to challenge myself for the month. That’s right (or, write, hehe) I am participating in NaNoWriMo!

For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s National Novel Writing Month. Basically the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. For more information about it, visit the site.

That being said, I will be pretty busy this month but that doesn’t mean the baking/crafting/photos/art/blogging whateverness will stop!

So, until we meet again, here are some pictures of the Halloween festivities in this neck of the woods. Among the photos are sugar cookies, house decorations, and some of a small party I went to (including a really awesome bread spider!). Enjoy!

Is it just me, or does this guy kind of look like a Simpson’s character with a mask on? Dad made him, so no one really knows what the design plan was…

Happy Halloween and let the novel writing begin!
